The Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for providing World-Class customer service by taking comprehensive personal responsibility for Juliska’s retail operations and functionality in alignment and as directed by the Flagship Store Manager. This requires obtaining and utilizing an in-depth knowledge of our products and is only achieved through demonstrating analytical thinking, applying exceptional communication skills, negotiating favorable outcomes for both the customers and company. This role with support key initiatives in collaboration and partnership with Customer Care, Marketing, and Operations. The successful candidate must direct and manage restocking efforts throughout the retail storefront, evaluate and develop the floor merchandising plan as well as maintaining the store in good working order. Candidates must preserve accuracy, show great attention to detail and have working knowledge of sales, merchandizing, and marketing with strong people skills to ensure efficient operations in a demanding and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:

• Manage all store operations and delegate responsibilities as needed.
• Greets and interacts with customers, consulting customers to understand their needs and purchasing preferences. Assists customers with purchase decisions.
• Demonstrates, explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting appropriate options suitable to customer need.
• Address customer feedback and requests in a professional manner. May handle returns and exchange process.
• Execute special sales, promotional events, and clearance sales.
• Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the retail store area and ensures good housekeeping.
• Assists with training and coaching of new team members.
• May follow up and assist with customer orders and coordinate with distribution center.
• Partners with planning team on long range opportunities to ensure product availability.
• Provide design expertise for scheduled appointments and ‘on-demand’ customer assistance.
• Build guest and brand loyalty through expert product line knowledge.
• Foster current trade relationships while proactively building new business.
• Support the retail team in various responsibilities, including but not limited to visual merchandising and floor sets, events, product training activities.
• Maintains a brand mindset and works for the good of the whole team. Collaborates and inspires.
• Consistently meets, delivers, and exceeds goals. Takes responsibility for results.
• Strong communicator in a variety of settings including team settings and guest interactions.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle many tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functionally.
• 2-3 years previous experience as a retail associate or in retail supervisory level role.
• Strong working knowledge of retail best practices.
• Microsoft Outlook and Excel experience required. Understanding of Microsoft Suite of programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organization and a strong sense of style with an eye for merchandising.
• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the course of the shift. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must be able to complete various activities in the retail store which may require lifting, standing, and carrying.
