Julius Silvert is hiring an On-Road Transportation Supervisor to join our growing team. Responsibilities:

• Supervise drivers, and prepare drivers for their day & workload by providing regular training, coaching, follow up & support, including on-road support & performance audit
• On-road driver management
• Ensure safety compliance (HOS compliance, DVIR, pre/post-check, uniform, PPE, etc.)
• Monitor and enforce on-time/route compliance
• Train, monitor, and enforce accurate and complete scanning
• Motivate, communicate, and drive successful driver behavior
• Conduct regular Safety & Performance meetings
• Train new drivers

Qualifications:

• CDL A or B Required
• Previous experience and/or formal training or education in the transportation industry, preferably in the food industry. Refrigerated truck experience is a plus
• Sound knowledge of DOT Safety regulations and FMSCA compliance regulations is required
• Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to take direction, motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results
• Exceptional multi-tasking and communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to deal with a wide variety of people both in person and over the phone
• Strong sense of urgency, with the ability to handle administrative duties along with operations management in a fast-paced, time-sensitive industry
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
• Flexibility with schedule including the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays to support 24/7 operation
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel, preferred
