What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Patient Intake Coordinator position at June E. Nylen Cancer Center?
The New Patient Intake Coordinator takes the referrals, calls the new patients and/or their family members, gathers all medical records needed for this visit from the referring provider, and sets the patient up for their first appointment.
Previous experience in healthcare setting preferred and beneficial. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Must be extremely organized with strong multi-tasking and time-management skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills are a must! A general working knowledge of computers including Word and Excel is needed with average typing skills.
