JW Jung Seed Company is an industry leader in mail-order and retail gardening. Jung Seed Company ships thousands of quality seeds, plants and gardening accessories to all 50 states. We have six garden centers in the state of Wisconsin with our corporate headquarters located in Randolph, WI.

Job Summary: Working under the supervision of the Garden Center Director, you will be responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the 6 Garden Center locations. You will be based out of the Stoughton location and required to drive the company work van to the stores to carryout your work duties. You will coordinate with outside contractors and collaborate project schedules with the store manager.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing maintenance requests from Garden Center Director; travel to Garden Centers (retail locations) for repairs/projects as needed
• Completing minor repair work including, but not limited to repairing doors, locks, door frames and handles as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass
• Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets
• Maintaining shop area, including clearing snow and ice as necessary
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Install appliances and equipment
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
• Work within established budget

Skills/Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
• Cooling/refrigeration knowledge helpful
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills required including addition, subtraction, division, fractions, and decimals
• Strong mechanical aptitude: ability to analyze problems
• Operate forklift and skid steers as needed
• Basic computer skills
• Must have manual dexterity and good motor skills
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, climb, reach and grasp
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
• Must have a positive outlook, be ambitious, conscientious, flexible & professional
