Objective:

The Education Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Junior Achievement of Abilene programming within participating school districts. This position also supports the Executive Director in daily operations of the organization, as well as assisting with special events as needed.

Position Details:

· Full-time exempt (salaried), approximately 37.5 hours a week

· Flexible work schedule: will work more during the school year (August through May) and less during the summer months and holidays, as our work mirrors that of school districts

· Reports to the Executive Director

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of Junior Achievement programs within the schools served by JA of Abilene
• 7 School Districts: Abilene, Wylie, Clyde, Brownwood, Sweetwater, Baird, Eula, Jim Ned, San Angelo
• Responsible for approximately 200-250 programs per school year
• Communicate details regarding curriculum, classes, and dates of the program with teachers, administrators and volunteers
• Provide consistent communication throughout the length of the program with all stakeholders
• Follow JA of Abilene’s volunteer recruitment strategies
• Recruit volunteers to fill programs, including replacement volunteers when commitments fall through
• Train new volunteers and offer continued training to returning volunteers, either in person or virtually
• Follow JA of Abilene’s stewardship plan for all educators, volunteers and organizations who provide volunteers to JA
• Submit class and volunteer information within the constituency management system (BCRM)
• Technology savvy - examples: BCRM (database), Web / Social Media, QGiv (online donation portal)
• Marketing assistance, including social media, promotions, content creation and other campaigns

Education/Experience:

Required:

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Microsoft Office Suite

· Capable of speaking in front of audiences ranging from 1-400

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Experience with program supervision and volunteer recruitment

· Experience working within a CRM (database)

· Experience working with design software like Canva

· Experience with Web content management and email marketing platforms like Constant Contact

Pay: $37,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
