Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our Corporate Financial Reporting Team. This position will report to the Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting, This position will be responsible for assisting with hands-on closing of corporate books and working closely with various people on the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Review financial activity and prepare journal entries, AJE’s, and closing entries as required with accuracy and sufficient support. This includes all GL support / balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.
• Support Senior Accountant by completing accounting tasks as assigned.
• Offer analysis and detailed reporting of financial information on a timely basis.
• Assist with preparation of financial reports.
• Provide support during financial audits and tax preparation/remittance.
• Follow and adhere to month-end and year-end closing process.
• Assist as needed on acquisitions and integration of accounting systems and policies with newly acquired businesses if needed.
• Special projects as assigned, including but not limited to accounting system changes.

Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a strong accounting or related role preferred.
• Experience using larger accounting software packages preferred.
• Experience with Acumatica and/or Aspire software packages is a plus.
• Understanding of standard/foundational accounting concepts required (including proper procedures, use of various general ledger accounts, journal entry preparation, etc.)
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy; attention to detail required.
• Advanced use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint experience preferred; intermediate skills required.
