Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cabling installation and termination (all media types); cabling testing and documentation
• Build-out of MDF and IDF (racks, patch panels, wire managers, network electronics, etc.); installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage cable systems; Work with CAT 5e, 6 and 6a twisted pair cable, optical fiber, coax, etc.
• Perform all cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, terminating, and testing in accordance with BICSI standards, National Electrical Code (NEC) and other local regulations
• Continually demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Create a positive impression with all customers. 
• Provide value to customers with difficult issues through use of good listening, communication, and problem solving skills
• Perform all work in a neat and quality manner

Minimum Requirements

• Tech 2: At least 1 year experience of commercial low voltage installation experience.
• Minimum of 6-months experience working in a hospital setting.
• Familiar with following ICRA guidelines
• Experience working within an Environmental Containment Unit (ECU)
• Working with CAT 5e, 6 and 6a twisted pair cable, optical fiber, coax, etc.
• With cabling installation and termination of all media types
• Building out MDF and IDF (racks, patch panels, wire managers, network electronics, etc.)
• Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools; ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder
• Must own low voltage tools, snips, cable strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and overtime as needed; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must pass 7 year criminal background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
• High School diploma, or equivalent 
• Tech 3: all above requirements plus a minimum of 2 years of commercial low voltage installation experience.

Preferred Experience (not required)

• High School Diploma
• BICSI, Technician, or Installation Certification
• Powder Actuated tools Certification
• Confined Space Certification
• CPR and First aid certified
• Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance

Pay Rate:

Tech 2: $22.00 - $24.00/hour

Tech 3: $23.00 - $26.00/hour

Low voltage technicians work as a team to meet project objectives in a hospital environment. They must have a great attitude, be dependable, willing to learn and take direction and are reliable to be on the job site. We require at least 6 months of low-voltage hospital work plus attention to detail and courtesy to work alongside nurses, doctors and patients.
