Position Summary: The Medical Billings Specialis (Respiratory) works with our Respiratory team to ensure proper documention and insurance billing processes are followed for customer orders and provide adminstrative support to our Respiratory Therapist. This position assists with greeting customers in a timely manner in regard to orders, shipments, products, and repairs. A strong candidate will have strong understanding of medical termanlogy and billing procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

• Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives information related to customer’s equipment and/or service needs.
• Maintains and/or enters patient data accurately and thoroughly.
• Performs thorough verification of insurance.
• Ensures completion or receipt of all documents needed for processing customer’s order and requests any missing documents from appropriate parties.
• Enters and confirms work orders and monitors open orders for accuracy and completion.
• Responds and resolves customer concerns and inquiries quickly and professionally.
• Adheres to all state, federal and company mandated documentation standards.
• Maintains established procedures concerning infection control, disposal of hazardous materials/waste and safety.
• Performs on call duties on a rotating basis
• Assists customer with questions and concerns.

Assoicate or Bachelor degree or one year HME/DME experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
