We are searching for a highly motivated and organized Assistant Superintendent to support our team in the successful completion of multifamily construction projects. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations on assigned projects, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to schedule and budget.
About the Role
- Assist the Superintendent with overseeing all aspects of multifamily construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and identifying and mitigating hazards.
- Coordinate and schedule the work of subcontractors, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship.
- Monitor project progress against the schedule and budget, identifying and addressing any potential delays or cost overruns.
- Interpret and implement construction plans and specifications.
- Perform daily site walks to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and change orders.
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including the Superintendent, project manager, subcontractors, inspectors, and architects.
- May assist with material procurement and quality control.
About the Candidate
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in multifamily construction field supervision.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Construction safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30) are a plus.
