The Director of Retail Operations will be accountable for leading, coaching, engaging, and mentoring the operations, allocation, and retail field team to pursue excellence and profitable growth. This role will be responsible for overseeing business performance, all front-of-house and back-of-house operations in pantries and kitchens, supply chain efficiency, community event planning, and strategic and financial retail plans. You will report to the Chief Retail Officer to ensure the team’s processes, functions, and workflow, prioritize creating an elevated and profitable shopping experience for all customer interactions. 

Job Summary:

• Clearly define goals and expectations while holding individuals accountable to a high standard of excellence. 
• Foster a culture of excellence and collaboration between corporate and field teams. 
• Approach projects with a structured methodology, ensuring thorough follow-up and collaborative momentum.
• Offer ad hoc strategic analysis and presentations to Top Management. 
• Utilize business intelligence to project supply chain needs within stores aimed at optimizing sales and leveraging the business needs.
• Consistently provide market, trend, and competitive analysis within the scope of Retail Development.
• Drive operational excellence at the store level by ensuring adherence to store operations guidelines, fostering continuous optimization of channels, and delivering an exceptional in-store customer experience. 
• Enhance business effectiveness through meticulous agenda management, skillful omnichannel orchestration, and optimized time management.
• Promote continuous performance dialogue by monitoring commercial KPIs, encouraging proactive performance improvement, and intelligent benchmarking. 
• Manage communication strategies and content across the organization using various channels.
• Build and monitor budgets and plans for retail operations.
• Create and monitor operational procedures to facilitate community events to enhance customer engagement in retail locations.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field of study required.
• 10 years experience in retail operations, supply chain or related fields.
• 5 years experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Outside-of-the-box thinker that will perform both strategic and tactical functions.
• Strong understanding of predictive demographic modeling with the ability to correctly interpret results into strategic advantages and opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear and concise direction to fellow team members.
• Ability to empower others through delegations and hold those accountable for the results.
• Ability to travel extensively across the US.
