Due to company growth, we are actively seeking experienced Field Planners to join our Renewables Team in Portland, Maine . The Field Planner will support the design, construction, expansion, and renovation of electrical overhead and underground distribution facilities.

Field Planner Engineer Services include but are not limited to the following:

• Determine customer needs/facility requirements and prepare a feasibility study to include conceptual design and preliminary cost estimate
• Develop final design, cost estimate, and schedule
• Prepare equipment and materials specifications
• Prepare Auto CAD drawings to be used to bid/award construction
• Perform field surveys and stakeouts
• Acquire necessary permits and State/County/Municipality approvals
• Coordinate the design and work process between the customer, contractors, trades, other utilities, municipality, and others involved in the process

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Equivalent Education with 5 years relevant experience required
• Applicants should have the knowledge, experience, and skills needed to review project plans, specifications, contract enforcement, and applicable technical standards, OSHA, and other regulatory statutes
• Detailed work experience in electrical overhead and underground distribution lines
• Knowledge of GPS & GIS systems required
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project or Equivalent
• Must be willing to travel to construction sites on a day-to-day basis, attend meetings as needed
• Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver License in good standing

The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
