We seek a Manufacturing Controller to assist with our growth as a sporting goods manufacturer. The Controller will be a proactive business partner, providing leadership and management of financial activities while working with the site leadership team and all levels of employees to drive company growth and initiatives. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will continue to streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes while producing thorough financial reports for management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with all relevant financial and reporting requirements, both internal and external.

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for accounting and financial reporting functions, including oversight of all compliance activities.
• Provide analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support to our growing global business.
• The ability to work independently is crucial.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports.
• Complete balance sheet and bank statement reconciliations.
• Ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and continually improve internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of financial assets and expense management across the business.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of Internal Controls and accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage the production of monthly and quarterly financial and operational performance metrics and analysis to gauge results against budget for all areas of the business.
• Ensure that billings, collections, and credit functions operate efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (accounting major) with major coursework in business, finance, accounting
• At least 5 years of accounting/financial analysis experience within a manufacturing company.
• Must be highly computer literate with data mining and ERP systems, and have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Requires deadline-driven, high-energy individual, able to work autonomously and lead as a key contributor on teams.
• The individual will be expected to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal skills are necessary, as is a willingness to accept and take responsibility for new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment.
• Work onsite at a manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Experience with e-commerce sales platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Rubicon products would be a plus but not required.
