We currently seek to fill the position of Inside Sales Representative. This role is responsible for accurately quoting and entering orders of Valon Konse North America (VKNA) equipment, aftermarket parts, and field service support. The Inside Sales Representative provides VKNA customers with the best possible service for their debarkers through collaboration, innovation, and reliability. This role is remote, but candidates will likely need to be at our plant in Saltillo, MS 1-2 days/month. All candidates must be located within driving distance of Saltillo, MS.Responsibilities
We currently seek to fill the position of Inside Sales Representative. This role is responsible for accurately quoting and entering orders of Valon Konse North America (VKNA) equipment, aftermarket parts, and field service support. The Inside Sales Representative provides VKNA customers with the best possible service for their debarkers through collaboration, innovation, and reliability. This role is remote, but candidates will likely need to be at our plant in Saltillo, MS 1-2 days/month. All candidates must be located within driving distance of Saltillo, MS.Responsibilities
- Maintains strong relationship with VKNA customers.
- Familiar with office ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, Syteline).
- Receives incoming calls from customers.
- Confirms customer RFQs and purchase orders (received either by phone, fax, or email) by comparing items requested to VKNA inventory; clarifies unclear items; recommends alternatives; provides availability and estimated delivery date(s).
- Creates and receives customer RMAs into Epicor; sends customer instructions on how to send parts back to VKNA warehouse(s).
- Creates job orders for manufactured parts.
- Completes training on all Brunette and VKOY parts (new and old parts alike).
- Resolves “aged” order issues.
- Creates and receives inventory transfers.
- Keeps ERP (Epicor) customer price lists up to date.
- Creates and receives inventory transfers in Epicor between the Spokane, Saltillo, and Surrey warehouses; generates transfer packing slip to accompany shipment.
- Participates in yearly inventory process.
- Maintains good relationship with suppliers; negotiates vendor-pricing, deliveries, specifications, and returns.
- Creates purchase orders to acquire parts from VKOY and local suppliers.
- Keeps ERP (Epicor) supplier price list up to date.
- Works closely with Accounts Payable department to resolve ‘invoice to purchase order’ discrepancies.
- Receives incoming items into ERP system based on supplier packing slips.
- Ships customer orders from ERP system and generates packing slips.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Knowledge of Epicor, our operating system, is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- A minimum of an associate degree and two years of higher-level sales/support experience in a manufacturing environment and a customer service/support background is required.
- Must have personality traits which would enable employee to function appropriately with customers under adverse conditions and must always present a courteous/professional attitude and appearance.
