Kahn Mechanical Contractors is Hiring a Service Operations Leader - HVAC/R Near Dallas, TX

Service Operations Leader will be responsible for leading all Service teams while they perform planned maintenance, emergency service, and project service. The Service Operations Leader will oversee the Service Department’s daily assignments, material acquisition, and weekly scheduling, in conjunction with the Service Logistics Coordinator.

You will…

Develop Team Leaders

Assist in hiring, coaching, performance reviews, supervising, and terminating assigned employees

Review, coach, and ensure team members understanding and completion of daily processes and procedures, JHA’s, etc.

Ask the 5 Why’s and perform Root Cause Analysis

Support Service Managers and Technicians in diagnoses of problems and explain these to customers in clear, non-technical terms

Support Service Managers and Technicians in communicating any required repairs to customers using our field estimator, escalate any major quotes, generate new maintenance agreements, and communicate other client needs to Sales Department

Support Service Managers and Technicians in ordering and collecting parts using KMC PO system, once customer gives approval to conduct work

Responsible for overall client satisfaction

Communicate with and regularly support the Service Logistics Coordinator

Communicate as appropriate with KMC President regarding any necessary assistance or client issues

Oversite of weekly technician on-call rotation and on-call procedures

Assist in customer invoice review with Finance Coordinator

Review work orders

Identify and rectify safety issues

Responsible for team results

Meet requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adhere to all company safety requirements

Identify and rectify for safety issues while working with KMC Safety Director to follow company safety protocol

LMA (Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable) team members according to KMC Guiding Values

You have…

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Texas Driver’s License and clean driving history

No felony convictions

Clean background check and drug screen

Spanish language skills

Ability to read, write, and understand English

HVAC/R Technician Certification or equivalent industry experience

OSHA 10 and 30 certifications

First Aid / AED certification

Maintain all required certifications such as TDLR, EPA, etc

Able to lift up to 25 pounds on your own

Proficient in all Service Tech I-V competencies

Skill and knowledge in the operation of commercial/industrial HVAC/R equipment

Up to date on new HVAC/R equipment technologies

Ability to identify engineering and design issues in mechanical systems- Air/Water Side and Controls Operating Sequence

Maintenance on: Centrifugal chillers, including teardown/overhaul certification, DDC controls, and Vane axial fans

Exceptional organizational skills

Problem solving – forward thinking

Strong verbal and written communication skills (Spanish speaking preferred but not required)

Pass down knowledge to co-workers
