Level: Electrical Engineer in Training (EIT); 3-5 Years of Experience

Department: Engineering; Reports to: Electrical Engineering Practice Principal

Project Summary:

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for design, development, implementation, analysis of the design and project management of engineering systems.

Essential Functions:

1. Perform engineering design evaluations and assist with project engineering design, specific to Electrical Engineering
2. Have thorough knowledge of the National Electric Code
3. Have ability to design lighting systems, electrical short circuit analysis, energy code compliance calculations, and building power load analysis
4. Prepare engineering analysis of projects, to include preliminary design, budget analysis, calculations, life cycle costs, and equipment selection.
5. Prepare drawings and layouts; proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD
6. Prepare technical construction specifications
7. Performs field observations as part of the construction quality assurance process

Other Functions:

1. Assist with project schedules and assign work to team as needed
2. Deliver technical presentations to internal and external audiences as required as part of the design process
