Responsibilities:

• Prepare and mix ingredients according to specific recipes and production schedules.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including mixers and packaging machinery.
• Ensure all protein bars meet our quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
• Package finished protein bars for distribution, ensuring accurate labeling and sealing.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and report any shortages.
• Assist with the development and testing of new protein bar recipes.
• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements:

• Valid Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification in Illinois (or willingness to obtain one).
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of protein bar production or similar CPG.
• Experience with inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Familiarity with basic food safety and sanitation practices.

Hours and Compensation:

• Part-Time: Approximately 10 hours per week
• Hourly Wage: Competitive, based on experience.
• Potential for Full-Time Opportunity and Equity Plan based on performance.
