KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer Lead, to join our team. This position will be on site at NSWC Dahlgren located in Dahlgren, VA.

The Senior Systems Engineer Lead will be part of a team of experts charged with providing systems operation expertise to the NSWCDD Integrated Combat Systems Department (V) to plan and execute systems engineering activities in support of current and future Combat System Command and Control (C2) functions.

As the Senior Systems Engineer Lead, you will be one of seven Product Area Leads in the CIAT Team Structure. You will need to understand all new requirements, lead all scenarios, and lead requirements working group efforts within the user community. You will also conduct meetings to ensure engineering efforts are on track.

Primary Duties:

• Manage the Test Observation Reports (TORs) that have been generated against CIAT, including managing the backlog of TORs.
• Provide evaluation on-site, in the lab, alongside Software Developers, Testers, and Integrators.
• Work closely with third party vendors, stakeholders, and sponsors through daily duties such as Working Group Meetings.
• Be located on-site in an air gapped facility at NSWC Dahlgren.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Candidate must understand system lifecycle stages and the latest systems engineering standards from INCOSE.
• Proficiency with preparing and reviewing technical documentation including but not limited to System Requirements Specifications, Capability Requirement Documents, Capability Production Documents, System Engineering Plans, System Requirements Documents, System Design Documents, Interface Design Documents and Specifications.
• Ability to advise and provide technical leadership to multiple requirements working groups that include government and contractor personnel.
• Knowledge of AEGIS Tactical System (in specific CIAT), desired but not required
• Ability to work in an air-gapped environment on classified software products.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a large, dynamic team environment.
• Strong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.
• Microsoft office proficiency.
• Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

​Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
• Eight plus (8 ) years of experience in Systems Engineering, Integration of Combat Systems, Testing, and similar.
• Two (2) years' experience may be supplemented with a Master's degree in Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
• Experience with Systems Engineering in an Agile development environment, desired but not required

Clearance: 
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
