Kaiser Permanente is Hiring a Sales Services Associate II - Medicare Sales Near Renton, WA

Note: Work location is the remote workplace (e.g. home address) per KP’s Authorized States Policy - Employees may be required to travel to a KP or customer site. Residence required in the primary location state - Washington 

Job Summary:

Follows pre-established plans for project logistics with moderately detailed guidelines. Follows detailed processes and procedures to resolve routine questions. Reviews and identifies goals, deliverables, and key milestones for project components. Attends external and/or internal engagements and occasionally assists team members to make formal presentations to various audiences. Utilizes standard knowledge when completing assigned tasks to assist with developing content and communications to align messages or to advance the sale. Provides and gathers routine information on the proposed health insurance benefits and product offerings in case follow-up questions arise for their supervisor, immediate work group, and/or cross-functional partners. Assists the team to execute all routine business processes related to lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner requests. Utilizes detailed processes and procedures to prepare for and assist with small-scale data entry, reconciliation, and processing in various applicable departmental systems as appropriate to ensure the integrity and reliability of data. Supports the organization of data about lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner needs, learning to identify recommendations that link to KPs mission, vision and values, service quality, and current product and service offerings with moderate guidance.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Works with others within work team to obtain and share basic information. Listens and addresses performance feedback; provides feedback to team members. Learns new relevant knowledge and skills; acknowledges strengths and weaknesses based on career goals and takes action to leverage / improve them. Adapts to change, challenges, and feedback with moderate guidance. Responds to the needs of others to support completion of routine work tasks.
  • Follows detailed, daily instructions to complete routine tasks with moderate supervision. Collaborates with others within ones team to address routine and some non-routine task issues; communicates status and escalates more complex issues. Adheres to established priorities, deadlines, and expectations. Identifies and speaks up for improvement opportunities within ones team.
  • Contributes to the administration of benefits and products by: assisting with routine internal business processes related to the benefits and product offering that Sales and Account Management teams are presenting to customers; providing and gathering routine information on the proposed health insurance benefits and product offerings in case follow-up questions arise for their supervisor and immediate work group; and utilizing common business practices regarding benefits policies to assist team members to ensure that all alternate benefit requests meet benefit requirements and state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in effective communication practices by: attending external and/or internal engagements and occasionally assisting team members to make formal presentations to various audiences; following detailed information to stay informed and up to date on important information and influencing events; and utilizing standard knowledge when completing assigned tasks to assist in developing content and communications to align messages or to advance the sale.
  • Helps ensure sales data are used advantageously by: utilizing detailed processes and procedures to prepare for and assist with small-scale data entry, reconciliation, and processing in various applicable departmental systems as appropriate to ensure integrity and reliability in data; and utilizing routine processes to conduct analyses for reporting on lead/prospect/customer accounts, sales channels, activities, and/or events to inform the teams recommendations (e.g., membership and account trends) and action plans.
  • Contributes to a positive lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner experience by: assisting with routine protocols to build upon and leverage existing relationships with internal stakeholders, lead/prospect/customer, channel partners, and third-party administrator (TPA) to demonstrate value and build commitment with moderate guidance; supporting the organization of data about lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner needs, learning to identify recommendations that link to KPs mission, vision and values, service quality, and current product and service offerings with moderate guidance; utilizing basic knowledge of products, services, and ratings to assist in responding to, encouraging, and educating leads/prospects/customers, brokers, and consultants about added services and product enhancements in routine situations; and learning from team members and supervisors to identify opportunities to better meet the needs of leads/prospects/customers and/or channel partners.
  • Contributes to project management efforts by: following pre-established plans for project logistics (e.g., process enhancement initiatives), including time and resource management, and quality checks, with moderately detailed guidelines; collaborating with the team to meet deadlines, following detailed processes and procedures to resolve routine lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner questions, and escalating critical issues and discrepancies when needed; following detailed instructions to review goals, deliverables, and key milestones for project components; completing assigned tasks to assisting the strategic direction of projects and executing action plans with a moderate degree of supervision; and following detailed instructions for the continuous improvement of tools, technology, and processes to optimize effectiveness.
  • Supports the sales process execution efforts by: following detailed instructions when processing lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner information into Sales Account and Management databases for colleagues; assisting the team to execute all routine business processes related to lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner requests; monitoring and tracking new developments in the communications of information on progress, process, and requirements for lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner information in a timely manner, with moderate guidance; applying strategies to align lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner requests and engagement strategies to address routine challenges with moderate supervision; and assisting in the processing and editing of comprehensive and compelling responses to lead/prospect/customer and/or channel partner requests which effectively position, differentiate, brand, and promote KPs diverse range of products and services.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent AND minimum one (1) year of experience working in a corporate or business office environment, which can include relevant internship experience OR Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a corporate or business office environment.
