Position Description

We seek an experienced, reliable, and highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team of

professionals. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and

troubleshooting a variety of construction equipment located at various locations while ensuring

safe and efficient operation at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Perform routine maintenance of construction equipment.

● Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and develop effective solutions.

● Conduct inspections of equipment and identify potential problems to prevent equipment

failure.

● Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and

work performed.

● Coordinate with equipment operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize

downtime, ensuring that critical equipment is available for scheduled projects.

● Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components and systems, including engines,

transmissions, axles, brakes, steering systems, and suspension systems.

● Interact with customers professionally and courteously.

● Safely operate equipment to assist the construction team.

● Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.

● Ensure that all tools and equipment are functioning correctly.

Requirements:

● Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role.

● Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of

construction equipment.

● Valid CDL license preferred.

● Excellent problem-solving skills.

● Experience or training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or a related field is

preferred.

● Ability to carry heavy tools.

● Being reliable and on time.

● Ability to pass a background check.

● Have reliable transportation.

● Physical Demands/Working Conditions -The position requires working in a physically

demanding job site environment, frequently in an outdoor setting. Bending, stooping,

kneeling, walking, and lifting are required, as well as the ability to lift 40 lbs.

● Driving required - must have a valid driver's license for three or more years; reliable

transportation with proof of automobile liability insurance is required when driving a

personal vehicle.
