BASIC FUNCTION Oversee the daily operations of the Tool Room Department. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist as needed with training new Tool Room personnel.

2. Maintain and encourage that all Tool Room policies and procedures are being followed.

3. Issue tooling out and process returns.

4. Inspect and inventory all tooling and kits before and after they are signed out.

5. Maintain and assist with tooling inventory and audits.

6. Ensure that release forms are used and filled out properly. Follow up with mechanics for tooling 

that is not returned on time.

7. Keep the Tool Room secure, not allowing people to help themselves, and escort them when they 

need to enter the Tool Room.

8. Ensure all tooling that is found broken, defective, or otherwise not in working condition is 

properly tagged and noted.

9. Inspect all calibration dates to ensure they are not expired before signing out.

10. Any other duties assigned by the Tool Room Administrator or Lead
