KAMO Power, located in Vinita, Oklahoma is in search of a Transmission System Operator III . the work location will be the Vinita, OK facility. KAMO offers an exceptional compensation and benefits package including 100% paid employee medical coverage and employer base contribution 401k plan.

The Transmission System Operator III assist in monitoring power flows, volts, amps and substation equipment alarms. Adjust transmission voltages as needed. Dispatch appropriate personnel to restore customer outages and check critical equipment alarms. Responsible for switching orders, clearance orders, and recloser holds to KAMO personnel and neighboring utilities. 

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of AC and DC equipment including storage batteries transformers, transformer operations, distribution and power transformers, and fundamentals of electrical circuits. Knowledge of all applicable NERC standards and operating procedures.

An Associates Degree is preferred in an electrical power related discipline. A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in an electrical related field. Equivalent industry experience may be considered toward substitution of degree requirements.

All levels of experience will be considered. Job and pay grade will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
