Forklift Operator / Hi-Lo Driver

We are looking to hire an experienced or entry level hi-lo driver/forklift operator to join our growing team. This is a full-time position with the main responsibility of operating and driving our forklifts to move, load and unload hardwood lumber in containers, on trucks, and around our manufacturing and production facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must inspect forklift before and after all assigned duties
• Responsible for operating hi-lo / Forklift to stage lumber and/or containers to the proper area for processing or shipping
• Responsible for inspecting the incoming lumber to determine the quantity matches bills of ladings
• Responsible for packaging, banding, and painting logos on outgoing bundles of lumber
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
• Responsible for following with accuracy all paperwork and work assignments
• Responsible for loading and unloading trucks, containers, and dry vans with forklift
• Responsible and willing to assist in other lumber company activities when assigned

Job Requirements:

• Valid forklift / hi-lo license is not necessary but preferred, company will license upon hire
• Forklift / hi-lo operating experience also preferred but not required
• Must be able to read, interpret, and follow documents, manuals, and safety literature
• Must perform all duties in a safe and productive manner
• Must be able to do basic math, read, and write
• Good communications skills and ability to work in fast paced team environment
• Previous experience in a lumber company, manufacturing, production, and/or industrial company is preferred, but not required
• Must be physically able to frequently stand, sit, walk, and climb
• Must have reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Shift Times:

Full time position. First Shift: 7:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-12:00noon Friday. Overtime /- 30 minutes at start of shift or after normal production times often required.

Pay: $18-$19/HR, salary negotiable. Full benefits offered to include 401K and health benefits.
