Program/Project Manager - Agile Expertise

Location: Santa Clara, California

Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Program/Project Manager specializing in Finance BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) SAP projects with a proven track record in successfully managing projects using Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SAFe. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in guiding Finance initiatives, excellent communication skills, and a talent for stakeholder management.

This role demands a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of Finance projects while fostering collaboration and transparency within Agile frameworks.

Duties:

• Lead end-to-end project management for FINANCE initiatives, including planning, implementation, and execution.

• Ensure alignment of Finance projects with organizational goals and strategic objectives.

• Navigate complexities associated with Finance implementations and provide strategic guidance.

• Apply Agile principles, with a focus on Scrum and SAFe, to enhance project flexibility, transparency, and delivery speed.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Ensure adherence to processes, quality standards, and deliverables so that projects are delivered with machine-like predictability.

• Implement SAFe practices for large-scale projects, fostering collaboration and alignment across teams.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.

• Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels.

• Proactively address stakeholder concerns and maintain a high level of stakeholder satisfaction.

• Lead cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

• Empower teams to take ownership of their work and continuously improve Agile processes.

• Drive a collaborative and transparent working environment.

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for Finance projects, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation plans.

• Proactively manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal impact on project objectives.

• Develop detailed program/project execution plans and manage all implementation processes, including budget management, resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints.

• Quickly establish yourself as a go-to leader within the IT department.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Program/Project Manager with a focus on Finance projects.

• Extensive experience in implementing Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SAFe.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex Finance implementations and provide strategic guidance.

• Minimum 6 years of recent project/program management experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to running large IT projects.

• Proven experience in managing multiple projects concurrently in an enterprise environment.

• Solid experience in:

• Decision-making and negotiations

• Risk assessment and mitigation strategies

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, conflict/resolution management, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to guide cross-functional teams and deliver solutions while mitigating or removing hurdles/obstacles.

• Passion for learning and using the platform of the world’s most innovative company.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred.
