General Manager Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the distribution center to ensure safety of all associates, equipment, and property.
• Oversee all Cold Storage warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation operation to ensure company and customer requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and government regulatory requirements.
• Assist Director in managing budget and P&L for operation/profitability
• Direct the operations of distribution, packaging, and transportation to achieve company objectives and meet customer demands and expectations
• Evaluate overall operations and develop short and long-term goals to meet organizational objectives
• Focus on continuous improvement and make decisions about enhancing value, service and effectiveness.
• Develop work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing labor costs, overtime, and retention
• Maximizes quality and productivity by understanding and mastering all job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause, corrective action, and training needs
• Participates in the collection of performance measurements per customer, vendor and/or site requirements
• Reviews KPIs and makes recommendations for efficiency improvements to both processes and associate performance
• Establishes a strong relationship and confidence from the customer(s)
• Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports
• Deliver a consistent, high-performance experience to our employees and customer
• Know and be capable of communicating quality, food safety, and customer standards to all employees, customers, and 3rd party auditors as needed
• Follow corporate and site-specific safety policies and procedures, and correct noncompliance when observed
• Know and be capable of communicating safety policies and procedures to all employees as needed
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and correct noncompliance when observed
• Follow corporate and site-specific safety policies and procedures, and correct noncompliance when observed.
