The Operations Inventory Supervisor is responsible for implementation and monitoring of compliance with operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current. The inventory Manager is also responsible for managing some hourly associates and temporary workers in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
An Inventory Supervisor, and/or Department Supervisor, is responsible for managing the workflow of their team or department by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. They contribute to the efficiency of their department by reviewing and improving processes and setting targets for their teams. A supervisor is also responsible for coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management.
