KanEquip, Inc. is Hiring an Ag Technician Recruiter Near Wamego, KS

The Ag Technician Recruiter will provide both leadership and administration in the Recruitment and Development of KanEquip Service Departments. Areas of responsibility include recruiting and hiring, scholarship programs, onboarding of employees, employee retention, along with service department recruiting support. The position will include leading change management initiatives including new tools and processes in these areas, and the development and enforcement of company HR policies, values, and culture.
Job Responsibilities (ranked in significance)
  • Company Values: Ensures all company values are adhered to and promoted. This would include leading by example, and participation in employee recognition programs.
  • Recruiting and Hiring Support: Effectively leads and executes a successful recruitment and hiring process that results in a high performing work force. Develop and execute a recruitment strategy for service technicians and service support personnel. Facilitate the hiring and interviewing process with any eligible candidates; including providing support for hiring managers. Posts, updates, and coordinates open positions at KanEquip, in a timely and effective manner. Creates and coordinates marketing materials for recruitment and retention. Represent KanEquip, Inc. at career fairs, career education events, high schools and other public relation activities.
  • Scholarship/sponsorship program: Successfully create and execute a successful scholarship program that results in the recruitment and retaining of graduates. Develop and execute a targeted scholarship program for technicians. Successfully recruits high school students across the state for the KanEquip scholarship program. Work with our scholarship and sponsored students to facilitate their enrollment and growth process throughout their education experience.
  • Onboarding employees: Working with employee and management to complete all required paperwork for employment. Devising a detailed training plan for the short term to get employee productive quick. Develop a training schedule for the employee for the first days of employment. Work with the employees manager, to develop a long term training and growth plan to advance the employee to maximize their potential
  • Employee Retention: Coordinates and provides assistance to special projects pertaining to employment retention and recruitment.
  • Service department support:
    • Service profitability: Coach Service management on how to achieve expected service volume, productivity and profitability- in ways that contribute to our continuing survival and growth. Specifically provided best practices information in the following areas:
    • Assist in educating technicians on managing repair orders (retail, warranty and internal) in order to achieve maximum collectible efficiency.
    • Monitoring and achieving agreed upon departmental business objectives (strategies, profit plan/budget and others) consistent with KanEquip’s policies, regulations and expectations
    • Effective scheduling of service work, including ongoing adjustments
    • People management: Coaching Service management on developing and sustaining a high level of employee performance and morale- that results in a fulfilling and productive work environment. Specifically:
      • Help each service department to identify its properly staffing levels and supports the recruiting, hiring and promoting of the right people for the right positions ensure we have adequate coverage
      • Support service management in making sure employees are being effectively managed on a daily basis to maximize productivity and morale
      • Helps Service management optimizes employee performance through effective ongoing evaluations, recognitions, rewards and discipline/corrective-management to produce expected results
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Change Management expertise, specifically managing change within a large, matrix organization
  • Ability to professionally lead, develop, and motivate others
  • Solid analytical, business planning, financial, and problem solving skills. Detail-oriented and results-driven
  • Expertise with computer systems and software, including MS office and internet-based applications
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Knowledge of customers service and service department functions
  • Ability to travel to all locations, company meetings, career fairs and training events as needed
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle status, with current driver’s license, and ability to operate motor vehicle and insurable
