Job Description:
Enterprise Architect Onshore 15 years of experience - Someone with strong AWS experience, that can help define patterns and work closely with client stakeholders.
Under general direction, leads the creation of efficient and effective architectures and architecture approaches that support current and future organizational architectural needs within and across business and technical domains.
Creates IT architecture designs as either a lead solution or domain architect (e.g., application, business, data/information, integration, infrastructure) to address complex multi-dimensional business projects, translating user requirements to solutions.
Researches, designs and develops solutions to complex business projects, applying hardware engineering and software design theories, principles and practices.
Develops multiple solution alternatives based upon an understanding of the key requirements to the users.
Develops non-functional requirements for solutions in support of key business projects.
Applies ITG engagement model and Systems Delivery Life Cycle best practices to ensure proper solution architecture engagement throughout the life of the project.
Asks questions to clarify requirements and performs solution analysis in response to coaching and guidance from principals and managers.
Makes recommendations on improvements to Architecture engagement model.
Identifies, develops and enhances enterprise and solution architecture standards documents to produce IT architecture solutions.
Identifies the need for and facilitates architecture reviews as needed.
Participates in cross-enterprise strategic architecture work.
Researches and develops standards documents for use by architecture teams as well as a broad range of IT and business areas.
Assists in driving creation of roadmaps and blueprints for architecture function or for individual area(s) of technology focus.
Identifies and harvests reusable assets from projects and/or identifies key assets to be created on projects. Researches future industry trends and determines appropriateness for the enterprise environment.
Proactively researches and applies business and technology trends relevant to the enterprise environment. Shares findings with architecture teams and clients/partners as appropriate.
Influences decisions regarding the use of technologies and standards across multiple technology areas. Mentors and trains others within and outside of
Architecture on standards, best practices, the engagement model and added value.
Identifies and conducts relevant brown bags with associates interested in Architecture or who perform some architecture work in their current role.
Assists in developing awareness of architecture role, promoting the Architecture engagement model and communicating architecture value proposition and metrics as needed.
Acts as an advocate for Architecture to non-architecture team members to promote the Architecture engagement model and communicate architecture standards to ensure best practices and consistency.
Acts as an Architecture point of contact for defined portfolios to give the business one entry point into Architecture.
Mentors, coaches and trains Senior Architects.
Works with all levels of the business (non-IT) directly to understand their business needs and can explain architecture, architectural options, relevance to the business, and associated business value to both educate the business on architectural considerations and to help the business make well-informed decisions on any size initiative.
