Kansas City Credit Union is Hiring a Member Service Representative Near Kansas, MO
Job Overview
The primary function of the Member Service Representative position is to offer excellent member service in every interaction with current and potential members, vendors, and all team members. The Member Service Representative is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with Kansas City Credit Union members and potential members through the accurate and efficient processing of routine teller transactions (cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, etc.) while also advising members and potential members of our products and services. This role will open, maintain, and cross-sell all products and services offered by Kansas City Credit Union. Available to float between locations.
Duties
- Process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments
- Assist customers with account inquiries and problem resolution
- Promote financial products and services to meet customer needs
- Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate transaction records
- Adhere to security procedures and protect customer information
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient branch operations
Experience
- Required Skills: Financial sales, Sales, Customer relationship management, Relationship management, Cash register, Basic math, Financial software, Customer service
- Nice-to-have Skills: Retail math, Upselling
- Previous experience in a banking or retail environment is preferred
- Familiarity with financial software and systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service role within a financial institution
- Proficiency in using financial software for transactions and account management
- Strong understanding of retail math principles for accurate cash handling
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and promote upselling opportunities
- Knowledge of banking procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and security
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
