Kao Corporation is Hiring a Payroll Specialist (Workday) Near Cincinnati, OH

The role:
Kao USA is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our amazing HR Team! The Payroll Specialist uses Workday payroll to perform duties related to bi-weekly payroll processing, maintaining time keeping and accurate set up and tax filings.
At Kao, we offer an amazing benefits that are available to you on your first day of employment (healthcare, 401(k) plus company match, etc.), 32 total days off (vacation holidays sick) and a reasonable salary range of $27.00 - $35.00 per hour. We also offer a hybrid work environment.
What you will do:
  • Review and process bi-weekly payroll for 1,700 workers for multi-states on the Workday platform.
  • Ensure Payroll processing is processed in a manner that provides time verification.
  • Process commissions, service awards, and other imputed income on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Partner with Leave of Absence Administrator for accurate payouts on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Monitor transfer of benefit data to Benefit Providers using Workday reports.
  • Work in collaboration with Benefits team to assist with Employee Benefit setup and rules.
  • Monitor the ADP Smart Compliance for wage payments, wage assignments, and taxes.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for the payment of compensation and related taxes.
  • Assist with quarterly tax balancing and filing of tax returns in all jurisdictions across all FEINs to ensure the accuracy of both Workday, and ADP.
  • Process garnishment, child support, and tax levy orders with our current vendor, ADP.
  • Resolves problems related to Payroll processing; identifies system improvements.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of various Payroll initiatives designed to streamline the process and scale with the organization.
  • Run queries utilizing Workday researching and answering all payroll questions.
What you will need:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in all areas of payroll processing, knowledge of compliant payroll processing practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience required
  • Workday experience required.
