Job Summary:

The Guest Services Specialist for Kaplan’s Furniture is responsible for day-to-day office duties related to the sales process including customer service, deliveries, warehouse, service and purchasing. The Guest Services Specialist works with management to ensure proper processing of orders and inventory to maintain customer relations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Training as related to customers, products and operations
• Update documentation pertaining to customers, products and processes
• Maintain customer service, deliveries, purchasing, warehouse (inventory) and service issues
• Acknowledge, follow up and complete all RMAs, Sales Orders and Purchase Orders
• Manage all price books electronically and printed as part of purchasing process
• Understand vendor products, documentations, pricing and groupings, etc.
• Manage ERP system processes and data such as stock codes, vendors, customers and costs
• Work with Accounts Payable as needed to resolve receiving issues and variances in costs
• Understand all processes related to operations including:

o Customer Service – calls, orders, notifications, status updates

o Purchasing & Receiving – customer orders, custom orders, floor models, stock, parts, replacements

o Service Parts inventory and service calls

• All other duties as assigned by management and ownership

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent may be required.
• Basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
• Understand and support company policies and procedures.
• Safety conscious behavior
• Excellent attendance record.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, carry, push and /or pull 1-50lbs frequently.
• Squat, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, turn grasp and reach overhead outward frequently.
• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day.
• Close mental and visual attention required, coordinating manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time.

Work Site Environment:

• Ability to work in a 55–85-degree Fahrenheit environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
