As a Material Handling Systems Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales of material handling equipment and systems to clients across various industries. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, designing appropriate solutions, and effectively communicating the value proposition of our products and services.
Your tasks
Position: Material Handling Systems Sales Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
  • Proactively engage with potential clients to understand their material handling requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information about the client's operations, challenges, and goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
Solution Design:
  • Utilize your expertise in material handling systems to design tailored solutions that address the specific needs and constraints of each client.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop comprehensive proposals, including equipment specifications, layouts, and cost estimates.
  • Present proposed solutions to clients, articulating the benefits and ROI of implementing our systems.
Sales Execution:
  • Lead the negotiation and closing of sales agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
  • Coordinate with project managers and implementation teams to ensure smooth execution of sold projects, maintaining clear communication with clients at every stage.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Market Development:
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments for material handling solutions, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote our products and services and expand our client base.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development within the material handling or industrial automation industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of material handling equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, and warehouse automation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, with a focus on understanding and addressing client needs.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support sales activities.
