The Outreach Specialist position is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the street-based engagement team, serving homeless adults. Primary duties include, engaging with adults via street outreach activities, coordinate referrals, and program linkage to other regional programs. Additional responsibilities include moving homeless adults off of private property and maintaining thorough and accurate records. This position is also responsible for cleaning up areas around town that become accumplated with trash.

Outreach Specialist Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach
• Learn and network with local homeless resources
• Learn "hot spots" and check them regularly
• Network with local businesses and attend to them when they call asking for help
• Complete daily outreach and trash clean up notes and worksheets with a high level of accuracy
• Participate regularly in trash clean-up
• Familiarize yourself with the local homeless population, build relationships and trust

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.85 per hour
