KARMA is Hiring a Sr. Vehicle Program Manager Near Irvine, CA

Sr. Vehicle Program Manager

The Sr. Vehicle Program Manager is responsible for leading the program team through the development and launch of a Karma vehicle program. The role requires efficient and effective program management to achieve defined program targets and timing. The Sr. Vehicle Program Manager is also responsible for defining, improving, and tracking metrics that ensure program success at Karma.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

  • Provide program direction and drive strategy and execution at all levels within the organization to support a successful launch of a Karma vehicle program.
  • Facilitate efficient and effective program management tools to achieve defined program targets (timing, cost, and quality)
  • Monitor and support cross functional key metrics, initiating and supporting necessary meetings to help eliminate roadblocks and assure timely and effective realization of defined targets.
  • Lead, manage, and improve the Karma product development system, workflows, and program deliverables (including multi-project management)
  • Actively support and influence cross-functional communication and collaboration, lead by example
  • Define, implement, and improve program targets and effective measurement and tracking of targets and program risks.
  • Promote aggressive problem-solving processes and activities, identify, and help resolve critical issues, inspire, and influence creative solutions to complex issues.
  • Monitor and track sustainable time and resource management (MS Project)
  • Create and manage tracking tools and processes to improve visibility and awareness of project definition and status to management teams.
  • Continuous improvement of all processes, methodologies, and systems
  • Generate reports, monitor, and present materials to effectively communicate the status of initiatives and program activities.
  • Lead weekly and monthly program meetings and gate reviews to support executive level approvals and program reporting. Track team deliverables and help drive to closure.
  • Other duties as required or as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing a vehicle program from start to production launch.
  • Passionate about electric vehicles and new electric vehicle technologies
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience in engineering and program management in the Automotive Industry (OEM/Tier 1 preferably)
  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Software engineering or related
  • Master’s in Engineering or related field preferred
  • PMI/PMP certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Highly structured and methodically working/self-motivated.
  • Excellent understanding of cross-functional working
  • Good understanding of common project management practices/methodology
  • Excellent practical knowledge of Microsoft products, SharePoint, and JIRA
  • Ability to flex between big picture timeline and detailed critical path tasks.
  • Excellent understanding of product development process
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015)

Compensation:

$140,000 - 170,000 /annual salary. Compensation will vary DOE.

At Karma, our base pay is one part of our total rewards package.

Compensation offered may vary on multiple factors, including market location, education, skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position being offered.
