COME JOIN OUR TEAM! We are looking for MANUAL MACHINIST! Pay: $25/HR - $30/HR DOE SummaryThe Conventional Machinist will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the setup, operation and care of conventional lathes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to perform the following:
- Verify your own work using Vernier’s, Micrometers and Gages
- Multi-task, take initiative, and communicate clearly with your team and management
- Experience working with hard metals is required, composite experience is a plus
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a requirement, in the aerospace industry is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Knowledge of shop mathematics complicated and involved drawings, specifications, formulas and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments together with a broad knowledge of applications.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers
