- Collaborate with product development teams to define quality requirements and specifications for new products using advanced product quality planning tools.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for both product manufacturing and process optimization.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure that incoming materials meet quality standards.
- Provide training and support on quality procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and product management on obtaining and maintaining desired product and process certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in quality engineering roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control.
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical quality management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience with root cause analysis and permanent corrective action techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, 8D).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt, or higher).
