Kate Therapeutics is a patient-focused biotechnology company developing next generation AAV-based gene therapies to treat genetically defined muscle and heart disease. We are applying novel technology platforms that directly address the key limitations of current gene therapies, including tissue-specific delivery and gene regulation. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and independent candidate to join our team and support the Facilities and Research Operations Department to conduct high quality, efficient and safe research. This includes supporting the optimal functioning of laboratory equipment, procurement and tracking of supplies, and working with scientists to implement biological sample and electronic data tracking workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the organization and maintain an accurate inventory of all common stock lab supplies, including those kept in offsite storage.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Agent to maintain optimal inventory levels of consumables, critical reagents, and essential supplies for laboratory operations.
• Assist in implementing new inventory and purchasing software.
• Organize and maintain, as needed, filing system of all hard copy materials related to lab supplies and equipment.
• Lead the organization and filling of all biological samples generated internally and externally.
• Utilize expertise in Benchling E-notebook to propose and implement advanced enhancements for workflows and solutions and inventory management.
• Assist in reviewing Benchling entries and ensure data accuracy.
• Follow, write, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Work closely with the Safety Committee and EHS consultants to oversee the management of our safety program, including proper storage and disposal of chemical and biohazard waste.
• Assist with international and domestic shipments according to company protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in routine cleaning, autoclaving, and maintenance of glassware and lab instruments, maintaining overall cleanliness in designated areas when needed.
• Assist/lead data QC to support study reporting.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with internal staff and external vendors/contractors.

Desired Qualifications

• A multi-tasker and problem solver with strong verbal and written communication skills, and a team-first mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences, prior industry experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in Word and Excel and electronic lab notebooks.
• Ability to work independently and within collaborative teams.
• Reliable, with excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in a team-based, interdisciplinary environment.

Base salary range for this position is $72,000 to $90,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
