Katmai is Hiring a Mortem human subject Near Fort Novosel, AL

SUMMARY

Provide administrative, technical, and practical support of day-to-day operations of a medical research laboratory specializing in injury orthopaedic and biomechanics research with PMHS whole bodies and body segments as outlined in grants, proposals, and legal agreements to fulfill USAARL's Injury Biomechanics mission.

  • Provide technical support for injury orthopaedic and biomechanics research with PMHS whole bodies and body segments.
  • Offer coordinated technical, administrative, and practical support for the daily operations of a medical research laboratory conducting injury orthopaedic and biomechanics research with PMHS whole bodies and body segments based on guidance and research objectives.
  • Support injury biomechanics laboratory RDT&E efforts, including Human Subject Research, RNIHS, cadaveric studies, and Test and Evaluations.
  • Maintain a database of the chain of custody, use, transfer, and storage of PMHS.
  • Perform administrative functions and implement cold storage management in line with USAARL Cadaver Handling SOP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field (e.g., electrical, biomedical, mechanical, biomechanics, physics).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in biomedical engineering or clinical.
  • Experience in laboratory procedures, testing, and research activities.

Experience in scientific data analysis, statistical methods, and software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, MATLAB, Microsoft products, image reconstruction software, motion capture, and kinematic analysis / modeling).

  • Knowledge of software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, Acrobat).
  • Experience with medical terminology and research.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full time. May require additional hours to meet project deadlines.
