MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduated from a nationally accredited school of nursing.
- Must have experience using pharmacological agents in patient treatment and Cardiology testing, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations.
- Must have experience with the basic requirements for proper documentation of patient care including medications given, nursing procedures, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care.
- Must have and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Red Cross.
- Must obtain and maintain the site's required health screening and immunization requirements.
- Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
- Must obtain and maintain all required documents, certifications, licenses, etc. listed on the credentialling checklist, sent by Katmai’s Credentialing Specialist, for this position for initial hire. All certifications listed must be maintained. Expired certifications are not valid.

- Maintains a professional manner and displays a positive cooperative attitude towards patients and other MTF employees. Adheres to and enforces emergency, fire, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and make appropriate clinical decisions.
- Ability to recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Effectively uses appropriate communication format in addressing professional issues.
- Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, and other clinic specific equipment.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time. May be required to work daytime, evening and/or weekend shifts. May be required to work extended hours to successfully complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
All Market contractors are subject to working at a duty location at any of the MTFs or associated sub clinics within the Colorado Military Health System (CMHS).
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily indoors at a well-lit military treatment facility such as a clinic, outpatient facility or hospital. The environment is normally air conditioned, but conditions may change dependent upon circumstances. Work may need to be performed in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking and rapid judgments. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities and abilities. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids, latex, radiation or other contaminants and safety issues. May be exposed to infection or diseases from contact with patients. Work is highly social with patients and can be stressful with a high emotional element. Decisions made may substantially impact patients and their families.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position consists of standing for long periods of time. Periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and to push, pull or lift objects that may weigh up to 50 pounds, assisted lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to stand while wearing up to 25 pounds of PPE for up to 4 hours. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities. - Pay is: $55.00 to $59.57 per hour.
