Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex network systems ensuring seamless and secure communication.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support VLAN, STP, QOS, and other internetworking technologies.
- Manage and optimize routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, and Policy-Routing.
- Configure, stack, troubleshoot, and support network switches and routers.
- Ensure the security and efficiency of the network by configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting firewalls and network monitoring tools.
- Support and maintain enterprise-class wireless access points and utilize packet capture tools for network issue resolution.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong understanding of internetworking technologies including VLAN, STP, and QOS.
- Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, and Policy-Routing.
- Expertise in handling network switches and routers.
- Experience with firewalls, network monitoring tools, and enterprise wireless access points.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues using packet capture tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
- Knowledge of Extreme Network switches.
- Familiarity with Ruckus Wireless solutions.
- Understanding of VPN/VOIP technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
- 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- Experience in the higher education sector is preferred.
