Position Overview:

Are you a dynamic and intelligent retail professional with a flair for captivating audiences, especially kids? Do you possess the charisma and stage presence to turn a store visit into a magical adventure? If so, we want you to lead our team as the Experiential Retail Store Manager. The ideal candidate is a role model leader who embodies an "Experience First" mindset and understands the importance of delivering a consistently high-level store experience. The Retail Store Manager is accountable for the overall success of the store and its employees. The Store Manager consistently delivers associate development, visual presentation, store operations, and achieves financial goals by building and retaining a high-performing group of employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Operations Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless functionality and a delightful customer experience.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that motivates and empowers our dedicated team of toy enthusiasts.
  • Customer Engagement: Create unforgettable interactions with young customers, ensuring they leave with smiles and stories to share.
  • Product Knowledge and Curation: Stay abreast of the company history and latest trends in children's slime and sensory toys, and merchandise an irresistible collection that sparks curiosity and creativity.
  • Results-Driven Excellence: Keeps self and team intensely focused on executing the Experience First model, financial goals, and revenue targets. Utilizes comprehensive reports to dissect the business, unearth opportunities, and make strategic decisions in real-time.
  • Talent Management: Identifies, recruits, hires, and retains a high-performing team. Equips the team with the skills needed to flawlessly execute Experience First, sales, merchandising, and operational goals.
  • Continuous Development: Consistently evaluates and offers ongoing performance feedback on skills, job accountabilities, and success characteristics. This is achieved through real-time coaching, scheduled touch bases, individual development planning, and the performance review process.
  • Staffing Expertise: Collaborates closely with headquarters to discern store core and seasonal staffing needs.
  • Employee Recognition and Conflict Resolution: Drives store engagement by acknowledging and rewarding employees for their exceptional performance. Proactively addresses performance issues or conflicts in a timely and consistent manner, in partnership with the HR Director.
  • Strategic Forecasting: Tracks and analyzes sales trends to precisely forecast sales and labor usage.
  • Operational Prowess: Ensures that workshop schedules are meticulously planned, completed, and posted on time, aligning with the business's evolving needs. Monitors and assures the accuracy of cash management policies and procedures in the stores.
  • Security and Compliance: Enforces all store security and cash management policies and procedures, safeguarding company assets. Possesses a comprehensive understanding of and ensures compliance with all Federal, State/Provincial, and/or local laws and regulations governing the store’s operation.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and engaging communication, both verbal and written.
  • Creative Problem Solver: Ability to think on your feet and find innovative solutions to challenges.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
