Job Description:

Kaye's Food Market is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Office Clerk. As an Office Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks within our grocery store. You will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support the office and management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office duties including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist with data entry tasks, including inputting inventory, sales, and other relevant information into the computer system accurately.
  • Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient communication and workflow.
  • Assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets, and other documents as needed.
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks such as reconciling invoices and processing payments.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration.
  • Prior experience in an office or clerical role required, especially in a retail or grocery setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
