Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough site surveys to assess project scope and requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects, including materials, labor, and equipment
- Utilize industry-standard estimating software to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Analyze historical data and project costs to develop competitive pricing strategies
- Collaborate with sales team to develop compelling proposals and presentations for clients
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
- Proven ability to generate accurate and detailed cost estimates
- Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and materials
- Excellent reading comprehension and ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and estimating software a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
