KBP Brands is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Leawood, KS

KBP Brands is seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our organization's compliance with employment regulations and standards. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for administering and maintaining various employment compliance programs, including I-9, E-Verify, minor hiring, and background checks. Collaboration with field leadership on audit results is essential for success in this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Possess working knowledge of ATS and HRIS systems, E-Verify and background check vendor systems and other recruitment platforms.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient process for completing, storing, and retaining Form I-9 for all new employees, ensuring compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA).
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to identify any discrepancies or errors in Form I-9 completion, E-Verify and minor compliance, and promptly address and resolve issues to maintain compliance.
  • Day to day processing of the E-Verify program, ensuring timely and accurate verification of new employees' employment eligibility through the system.
  • Administer the background check process for new hires and current employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and privacy regulations, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to I-9, E-Verify, minor hiring, and background checks, ensuring proper confidentiality and data security.
  • Prepare regular reports on compliance metrics and activities for management and regulatory purposes.

What We’re Looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with at least 2 years related employment compliance experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using a variety of technology platforms.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law related to interviewing, onboarding, and hiring.
  • A passion for execution, a strong desire to find the best talent and a relentless can-do attitude.
