TitleGovernment Engagement Specialist
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Engagement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government relations, coupled with a keen understanding of business development strategies. This role is pivotal in fostering and maintaining relationships with government entities while identifying and pursuing business opportunities that align with our organizational goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernment Relations:Develop and maintain robust relationships with key government officials and agencies.
Monitor and analyze government policies, legislative developments, and regulatory changes that could impact the organization.
Represent the organization in meetings, hearings, and other governmental forums to advocate for favorable outcomes.
Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals to government stakeholders.
Business DevelopmentIdentify and evaluate new business opportunities within the government sector.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for entering new markets and expanding existing ones.
Prepare request for information and bids for government contracts and funding opportunities.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape.
Strategic PlanningDevelop comprehensive engagement strategies that align with the organization's business objectives.
Work closely with senior management to integrate government relations and business development efforts into the broader strategic plan.
Track and report on the progress of engagement initiatives and business development activities.
QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in government relations, business development, or a similar role.
Proven track record of successful government engagement and business development initiatives.
Strong understanding of governmental processes and regulatory environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with government officials and industry stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic CompensationUSD Annual
$130-150k
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional CompensationKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
