Azure Cloud Data Engineer

Location: Carson City, NV

Required skills and qualifications

• Experience with Azure, PowerShell
• Understanding of data-warehousing and data-modeling techniques
• Knowledge of visualization and analytics tools (ex: Tableau, PowerBI)
• Strong data engineering skills with Azure cloud platform
• Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and common scripting languages
• Strong T-SQL and report development using Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting Server
• Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude

Objectives of this role

• Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product that helps the organization create a comprehensive data repository
• Focus on ingesting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets
• Create scalable, high-performance web services for tracking data
• Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs
• Investigate alternatives for data storing and processing to ensure implementation of the most streamlined solutions

Responsibilities

• Develop queries and stored procedures for reports
• Format and present report for to end-users for approval
• Implement and run reports

• Degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering
• Experience with cloud data solutions
