Our Team As an Air Freight Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately coordinating the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods on behalf of assigned customer accounts or routes for, utilizing different modes of transportation and in compliance with all domestic and international laws and regulations, generating all required documentation and reports, and tracking of shipments ensuring timetables as per our customers' requirements. What You Will Do

  • Procure, quote, secure and manage air freight bookings with the carriers, trucking companies, ground handling agents and overseas freight forwarders for US exports / imports via web-based programs or carrier websites.
  • Reviewing, managing, and distributing all shipping documents, including commercial invoice, packing list, letter of credit, certificate of insurance, certificates of origin and any other required documents.
  • Filing Electronic Export Information with 100% compliance with the laws and regulations for US export shipments via the Automated Export System (AES).
  • Ensure all import shipments are processed in timely manner with Customs Brokers and airlines within free time to avoid storage.
  • Ensure all shipments are processed in accordance with TSA regulations.
  • Provide customer service support, coordinate pickups and / or deliveries, and maintain and file all shipments records.
  • Practice Principled Based Managementâ„¢ by applying the judgement, responsibility, initiative, economic and critical thinking skills, and sense of urgency necessary to generate the greatest contribution.
  • Using economic thinking to challenge and innovate our processes, eliminating wasteful activity. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working in air import and air export.
  • Experience applying Incoterms for logistics operations
  • Experience preparing quotes and making bookings with airlines carriers. What Will Put You Ahead
  • Fluent in Portuguese
  • Experience with Latin American, European and Asian trade lanes.
  • Experience with electronic tools for booking, shipping instructions and tracking.
  • Experience using manufacturing supply chain and ERP Systems (ex : SAP, Nexus).
  • Experience working in the Freight Forwarding industry.
