KCAS Bio is Hiring an Analyst II - Pharma Discovery Near Olathe, KS

As an Analyst II on the KCAS Pharma Discovery team, you will leverage your knowledge of scientific principles to be responsible for the preparation of reagents and solutions as well as sample processing under required regulatory documentation.

You will analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to troubleshooting activities.

Our Pharma Discovery lab team uses their expertise to perform fast turnaround on client ideas at the earliest stages of the research process, including testing new drug molecular structures or delivery mechanisms.

In this role, we will rely on you to:

  • Proficient with performing extractions of pharmaceutical compounds using Protein precipitation, Liquid-Liquid, or Solid phase methods.
  • Proficient in weighing primary solutions, preparing spiking solutions, and calibration standards and QCs in biological matrix.
  • Comfortable with all kinds of biological matrices.
  • Proficient in making your own solutions (organics, water, acid, buffers.)
  • Proficient in using adjustable pipets, top load balances and analytical balances.
  • Experience with using LCMS or LCMSMS. 
  • Experience with method development of pharmaceutical compounds using LCMS or LCMSMS.
  • Interact with clients in a professional manner as necessary.
  • Perform all aspects of the job to support the company brand and support the company mission, vision, and values.
To qualify specifically for this roll, you will have:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related field with at least 2 years preferred Bioanalytical CRO experience.
  • Experience with using LCMS or LCMSMS.
  • Experience with method development of pharmaceutical compounds using LCMS or LCMSMS.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing and basic computer skills.
  • Willingness and ability to provide procedural training and coaching.
  • Perform all aspects of the job to support the company brand and support the company mission, vision, and values.
