What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Administrator position at KCI Construction?
Purpose: The Safety Administrator plays a vital role in maintaining workplace safety and regulatory compliance across all projects. Key responsibilities include tracking and updating safety metrics, administering and managing prequalification and compliance documentation, coordinating and documenting safety training and orientation sessions, and providing administrative support for high-risk activity planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Reporting and Tracking
- Generate monthly tracking and trending reports from safety audits.
- Update the Key Compliance Indicator (KCI) Dashboard with current safety data.
- Track and update statistics, incident logs, and metrics.
- Work on incident reporting, file tracking, and record updates.
- Update safety data on pre-qualification websites, such as ISNetworld, and complete pre-qualification information for bidding purposes.
Safety and Compliance Program Management
- Draft site safety plans with input from the Safety team and support safety policies under the direction of the Director of Operational Safety.
- Create the schedule for toolbox meetings.
Training and Coordination
- Coordinate various formal and informal safety training sessions.
- Track safety training compliance for new employees in the Vista Tracking system, Samba, and HCSS.
- Coordinate post-offer employment testing (POET) and random drug testing.
- Help with fleet safety and DOT compliance, including motor vehicle checks and CDL driver registration within the DOT Clearinghouse.
Fleet and DOT Safety Program
- Participate in DOT and fleet safety programs, ensuring compliance with DOT standards.
- Gather information for motor vehicle checks and maintain the approved driver program within Bamboo and enter it into Samba.
- Work on DOT Clearinghouse compliance, including annual program checks for accidents or drug-related offenses among CDL drivers.
Additional Duties
- Coordinate local clinic relationships and drug testing locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 3 years of administrative experience, construction industry preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

- Experience with Microsoft Platform required.
