- Design Phase leader in the development of multiple construction plans for transportation/roadway projects, providing guidance and supervision to junior engineers.
- Coordinates with project managers while planning scheduling and coordinating design phase tasks related to project scope and deliverables.
- Good problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills are required.
- Responsible for quality control, checking computations while reviewing design work and engineering drawings performed by others.
- Analyze and address technical problems which may involve conventional engineering practice, but also may require innovative solutions with unique approaches.
- Candidate must have worked on all phases of design and have been involved in industry related services of a project.
- Broad knowledge of current design policies and practices and the ability to effectively apply this knowledge to the design process.
- Candidate must be reliable, committed to completing multiple task, have strong time management skills.
- Have experience in managing tasks and mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience in MicroStation with GeoPak and/or Open Roads
- PE license is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work. Master's degree preferred.
- 6 - 10 years of professional experience. PE Required.
- The target candidate will have experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring projects involving both overhead and underground engineering systems.
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
