Job Summary

Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the Federal Work Study (Student Only) part-time position of Advising Ambassador.

This position will support the Advising Center with office-related tasks.

The Federal Work Study program provides funding for part-time employment to qualifying students. If you have unmet financial need as determined by the most recent FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), are enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at Gateway and have a GPA of at least 2.

Job Duties :

• Incoming and Outbound phone calls to students to schedule advising appointments
• Respond to general advising email requests
• Assist with events and special projects
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

• Excellent communication skills and good time management.
• Dependable, able to maintain an agreed-upon schedule, professional, courteous
• Able to work well with supervisor and others.
• Familiar with MS Office
• 1st Shift
• Up to 20 hours per week
